It's for those who do not qualify for "on going medicaid". Also, there is "State of your state Health Insurance for Children", who do not have any other insurance. This insurance is the same insurance that they give school teachers. With retro medicaid they go back three months and pay accrued bills for that time and no further. But you can use it again as you accrue more. Ask your Social Service Office about these two benefits. Your Doctor will have to agree to accept the retro medicaid plan and may want a letter from Social Services showing that you are applying
